Opening hours and Scotch Eggs!

Beckenham Sports Club, having been placed into Tier 2 of the COVID restrictions, cannot operate anywhere near normality, especially with the prohibition of households mixing in an indoor setting.

The risks and limitations of opening have been weighed along with the financial considerations for the Club and, reluctantly, we have put the initial controls in place over bar opening hours and catering availability.

No food will be available (until the 8th December) but tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available during the bar opening hours - so rather than go to Starbucks, Costa or Nero (other coffee outlets are available) please come and support your Club.

From the 8th December we are intending to provide ‘substantial meals’ and details of the additional times that the bar will be open, and food available, will be published later this week.

From Wednesday 2nd December the Clubhouse will open each weekday at 1130hrs. At the weekend the Clubhouse will open shortly before the bar becomes available (see below).

Note that before 1130hrs (weekdays) no toilet facilities will be available. Also, be aware that changing rooms and showers must remain closed to all Members.

The bar opening times will be as follows:

                Weekdays - 1630hrs – 2130hrs

                Saturday - 1100hrs – 2100hrs

                Sunday - 1000hrs – 1930hrs

Without the purchase of a ‘substantial meal’, no alcohol may be purchased from the bar.

No cash can be taken at the bar - card purchases only.

During the hours of opening (outside of stated regulations relating to sport participation) there must be no socialising with anyone you do not live with (or, who is not in your support bubble) in any indoor setting. Also, you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 people outside, including in a garden or a public space.
