A message from the Squash Chairman

Dear Squash Members

We bring with you good news that the squash courts are now open along with the clubhouse and we welcome everyone back. Whilst many of us have had a break from squash, the club has continued behind the scenes to think about how best to bring you back albeit with restrictions and safety in mind.

Important Guidelines

England Squash has released their advisory guidelines and under Tier 2 we have more flexibility and freedom than previously. I urge everyone to read this press release. The permissible activities are below, court bookings are open, and we hope to see many of you back very soon:

  • Tier 2: Solo practice, full match play with same household, Sides and Socially Distanced Practices in squash bubbles, one-to-one coaching.

Coaching

Many people have had a long break from squash. Now might be the perfect time to consider coaching. Perhaps a Christmas Gift or an upcoming New Year’s resolution? Whether you are looking to re-tune your shots, get back to match fitness or just play full squash with someone under Tier 2 Guidelines, please make use of our talented coaches and contact them directly. See the attachment for further information and contact details.

Priory Team Results Winter 2019-20

The final confirmed positions were Beckenham 1st finished 2nd, Beckenham 2nd won their league, Beckenham 3rd came 5th and the 5th side finished 6th.

These are all brilliant results given the diversity in age across all four teams and show the strength and depth we are building. A fuller report is attached.

We are expecting all our members to join us again when the leagues re-commence and build on our great strengths. If you know of anyone who wishes to join our club and leagues please contact the club.

Junior Squash

Junior squash at the club continues to thrive with over fifty junior members and eight squads a week from beginner to elite, a number of these  squads have started again, please contact Steve London our head coach or the club for more information.

Kind regards

Simon Joyce
