NOTICE OF 4th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

BECKENHAM SPORTS CLUB

COMPANY NUMBER: 10259040

The Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held on Monday 25th July 2022 in the Clubhouse at 7.15 pm for the following purposes:

1.         Apologies for absence.

2.         Obituaries. 

3.         To consider and if thought fit to approve the Minutes of the 2021 AGM.           

4.         Matters arising. 

5.         To receive and consider the management accounts of the Club and the Honorary Treasurer’s Report.   

6.         To provide information regarding the Club’s audit/accounts inspection.  

7.         To receive the report of the Chairman. 

8.         Update on the building of a gym at Foxgrove Road. 

9.         To consider and if thought fit approve and ratify the Club’s subscription levels for 2022.   

10.       To announce the election of the President, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer. 

11.       To announce the election of members of the General Management Committee.  There are ‘zero’ vacancies. 

(Nomination forms for Items 10 and 11 are available from the Office and candidates should be duly proposed and seconded.  The closing date for nominations is 19th June 2022). 

12.       To approve the members of the Alcohol Committee. 

13.       To consider the reports from the Sporting Sections. 

14.       To appoint Life Members (None). 

15.       To appoint Vice-Presidents (Four). 

16.       Any other business.

Note: A member of the Club is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend, speak, and vote in his/her place at the meeting. Proxy forms are available from the Office. Completed forms must arrive at the registered office not less than 48 hours before the time of the meeting.

Please note: Admission to the Annual General Meeting will be by production of your current membership card (if you do not have a membership card at present, names can be checked against the Club database on the night). Please ensure that you bring it with you. For the avoidance of doubt any “member” who has not paid a subscription will not be admitted to the meeting.  All members other than junior members under the age of 18 are entitled to attend any General Meeting whether Annual or Special. The quorum for all General Meetings shall be 25 Members present and entitled to vote.

THE BAR WILL CLOSE FIVE MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE MEETING AND REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE MEETING IS BROUGHT TO AN END.
